@WritersAbroad Magazine Issue 5 out Today

The latest issue of Writers Abroad Magazine: The Third Space is published today. The magazine showcases writing by the members of this online community for ex-pat writers. You can read it online or download a PDF copy directly to read at your leisure. It’s free! You can also read the four previous issues – just click on the magazine icon in the LH sidebar.

Writers Abroad is nearly seven years old and provides an opportunity for people who live outside their home country to critique each other’s work in a secure online environment, improve their writing skills and network.

To mark our seventh anniversary, our founder Jo Lamb, who lives in Italy, is featured in this issue’s Member Spotlight.

There’s something for everyone in the magazine, including short stories, flash fiction, poetry, non-fiction articles, recipes, author interviews and book reviews. You can also see photos of some of the wonderful and exotic places in which members live.

This time two of my writing efforts feature:

  • A flash fiction piece ‘Making Good’.
  • My reflections on almost 20 years in France in the ‘From Here…to There’ section.

We hope you enjoy the latest issue of our magazine. You can sign up to receive notification of future issues (twice yearly) in your inbox.

And we’d be delighted to receive your feedback. What did you like? What could be improved? What additional features would you like to see? As a little inducement, everyone who provides feedback will be entered into a prize draw to win an e-copy of our latest short story and poetry anthology, Kaleidoscope.

We moved to an 18th-century farmhouse in SW France in 1997. I'm fascinated by French history, rural traditions and customs. I also write historical novels and short stories.
